A large and remote reserve, Giant's Castle was established in 1903 to protect the eland, the largest of the antelope.

To Do:
- Visit the Vulture Restaurant
- Horse rides
- Pony treks (2-3 days), staying in huts and caves
- Hike up to Langalibalele Pass where British soldiers came to grief

- Any one of 50 Bushman paintings sites

- Self catering chalets within the reserve run by Ezemvelo Wildlife
- Camping at Hillside
The last Bushman was shot in this area only a few years before the reserve was established. At the time, the San people were regarded as vermin. The dead Bushman was found to be carrying a belt of antelope horns containing all the colours necessary for rock painting. However, see Cathkin page.
The park is administered by Ezemvelo Wildlife and there is a well equipped hutted camp. The park is approximately 60kms from both Mooi River and Estcourt.
