A remote reserve, noted for it's breathtaking views and solitude. It's name is taken from the Zulu - 'well fed dog' for it's previous abundance of game.
The view from the Little Berg next to Van Heyningen's Pass is spectacular. This path continues to Giants Castle Game Reserve and the Mdedelolo Wilderness Area.
One of the attractions of the park is Battle Cave, a series of Bushman paintings depicting a great battle between two tribes. The guided walk departs at 8.30 from the office.
There are several walks ranging from 2km to 22km both around the park and to the summit (there are hikers' huts in which to overnight). Elans are frequently encountered on these paths.
